We followed another cruise ship out of Port Canaveral.
This is one of the most exciting parts of the voyage...
the moment when you hear the engines of the boat come to life
and then feel the huge ship start to move.
It's right then that you experience a sense of great exhilaration.
The journey is all ahead of you.
Joy and anticipation take over your soul.
We all headed for the front of the ship which was only steps away from our cabin.
Being February, the weather was a little chilly leaving port.
Amanda ran to get my scarf and Lucy's blanket Lily.
I had worn my North Face jacket which I never had to wear again.
Everyone was so excited.
The cold and wind didn't bother us at all.
We passed a beach and were soon out in the ocean...
not to stop or set foot on land for another 36 hours.
This is when you enjoy the boat and get used to the rocking motion of the swells.
This is when you savor the delicious meals and decide what fun activities catch your interest.
This is when you sit on your deck and watch the ocean go by.
This is when you can't wait to get into bed to be rocked to sleep.
I particularly enjoy just being on the ship.
It was so exciting to open the door of our suite.
Amanda had the stewards decorate our room.
"Happy Anniversary" banners were everywhere...
hanging from the ceiling ~ swaying with the movement of the ship.
Our towel sculpture was in the shape of a heart.
❤️
We had a king size bed with a view to absolutely die for.
A jetted tub and...
A walk-in closet.
Our lodgings were exquisite.
Much like living in a perfectly outfitted tiny house as seen on HGTV!
Our first sunset and...
Seven super excited children who were just before having the time of their life.
