Happy Fourth of July

I am deeply thankful for our country and the freedom God has allowed us to enjoy.
We should never take this gift for granted.
God bless America,
Land of the free and home of the brave.

I am on Day 8 of "Keeping Boys."
It took me 7 days to settle in and feel like this new life is relatively normal.
I have so many stories to tell,
but I probably won't ever tell them.
I'll tuck them away and always remember how they made me feel like a mom again.

The laughter feels so good.
I haven't laughed like this for a very long time.
When Bubba died, I shut down, closed myself off, and became a bit of a hermit.
These children make me want to live again.

Below is a screenshot of what I have googled in the last few days.
It is telling.

Hilarious to me!
Knowledge at your fingertips.

I went for 24 hours without knowing that there had been a shooting at Oglethorpe Mall.
I got the scoop from Archie, who had heard about it at work.
Walt and I had been involved in a two-day monopoly marathon.
I knew nothing else.

Life is bliss.
I have nothing else to say.
I 💗 to play Monopoly.
I won.
He is an awesome player.
I taught him how to go for the win,
but he played it safe.
We'll play again tomorrow!

This evening, hamburgers and a boat ride at Anna and Robert's home.
😍
