sweet, sweet fellowship

Today at Hope Bible Church we established our Elders,
five men set apart to lead and guide and teach and preach and care for the flock.
What a beautiful service!
Dr. Potter came down from from North Carolina to bring the message from the book of Ephesians about the importance of these men who serve in the church.
After the service we came outside.
The weather was so amazing...a perfect Fall day.
All of us surrounded the new elders while Dr. Potter prayed for them.
Thank you God for these men who are willing to serve.
I pray for You to give them wisdom and knowledge and understanding of Your word...
that You will protect them and guide them and direct their paths,
that their hearts will be filled with love and compassion,
that they will do the work of the church well,
that we would remember to pray for them because their job is weighty,
that all of us will work together to be salt and light in Savannah.

I like it and want to save it on my blog.
There is always sweet, sweet fellowship in front of this place!
