It is much smaller than last year.
Bubba said he couldn't handle a nine-footer any more.
It is a beautiful blue spruce,
very fresh
and well-shaped.
Tomorrow is Lucy's ninth birthday,
I picked her up from school
and we went to
Back in the Day Bakery for lunch.
We splurged on their fabulous cupcakes.
Then ensued the tree hunt.
While waiting for granddaddy we played
hide & seek
in and out of the tress.
What a wonderful and beautiful day it was.
Oh, and by the way,
we bought a fresh Christmas wreath
for the front door.
And,
we fell in love with the resident cat.
we named her Cheddar.
That was our day....
