we shall behold Him

As I get older and enter into the time this could happen at any minute,

I rejoice that I shall finally see the face of Jesus

My Savior 

and the Lord of my life.

For all of the wrinkles, wounds, scars, and sorrow life has brought me,

I rejoice that they all work together to bring me to Him.

Through God's Word and His Spirit, I have been drawn close,

but one day I will be in His actual presence, 

with my face to the ground,

 in awe and thanksgiving,

for the blood He shed on the cross for me and for all who believe.

Oh God, You have put eternity in my heart.

Thank You, Jesus!
