find a quiet place

David has been teaching our Sunday School for the last few months.
I am always thankful that God chose him to minister His word.
He reads and studies and then the Holy Spirit enables him
to present the truth to us clearly and in a way we can understand.
~
One of the questions that we are considering is....
"Why don't we spend more time with God?"
~
The consensus is....
"If we spend more time with God
and do what He says in the Bible,
our lives will be ruined."
~
Contrary to the above lie
that we as Christians have been duped to believe is true,
time spent with God
in His word and prayer and meditation
is absolutely essential to all believers.
~
And, rather than ruin our lives,
daily time spent with Him produces
fruit,
good things,
joy,
and the abundant life
that Jesus promised we would have.
~
Find a quiet place,
open His word,
start reading,
start expecting Him to open your eyes and ears to His truth.
~
"And without faith it is impossible to please Him,
for he who comes to God
must believe that He is,
and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him."
Hebrews 11:6
~
"He is a rewarder of those who seek Him."
~
Start seeking God and He will reward you with understanding.
That is the place to begin your walk with Him
