"God laughs"

Psalm 2: 1 -4

Why are the nations in an uproar, and the peoples devising a vain thing?
The kings of the earth take their stand
and the rulers take counsel together against the Lord and against His Anointed;
"Let us tear their fetters apart, and cast away their cords from us!"
He who sits in the heavens laughs, the Lord scoffs at them.

In the big scheme of things, God finds what is going on in our nation very amusing. The Bible tells us that God laughs as the nations rage.

God is in ultimate control of everything that happens on this earth...............Satan rules, but God is in control. His laughter is a righteous anger and derision, it is Him ridiculing those who would be so bold as to set themselves up as gods with great power and authority over Him.

In the coming days we should make our ways to the polls to cast our vote for the next president of the United States. We as Christians are duty bound to be discerning as we exercise this privilege. Scripture commands us to "be subject to the governing authorities."

Romans 13:1 "Let every person be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God."

We must decide who would be the best leader of our country.
A lot of important, weighty matters hinge on this election.

Dig deep
Search for the truth
Vote wisely
As Jake says while pointing to his head, "Think! Think! Think!"

In view of all of this my vote will go to Senator McCain.

Isaiah says in 57:16.....basically that the Lord says I will not contend with you forever.

I must constantly set the Lord before me in these days as I contemplte the truth of Isiah's words. Is this the time that God will stop contending with this nation and turn it over to its depravity?....Romans 1:28 Yet we as Christians are told "to be anxious for nothing." These times demand a deep faith and trust in Him and a strong belief that He is ultimately in control.
