that little face

Lucy sang with her choir in big church today.
This was her first time.
She was standing front and center.
Her granddaddy and I were grinning from ear to ear.
Blessing upon blessing I say.

"cling to what is good."
Romans 12:9

Are you filled up with sorrows?
Is life almost more than you can bear?

God never promised
that our time here on earth would be easy and carefree.
If you are a Christian,
He is fitting you for heaven.
He uses the trials of life to make us like Him.
As we go through these times He does promise that
He will never leave or forsake us.

so, "cling to what is good."
to those things in your life that make you smile...
those things that you know are blessings directly from God.

the look on her face when she spotted us watching her.

Thank you God for filling our lives up with good things
and for walking by our side in the trials......
and for so much more.
