low, low tide

A day in May....
late afternoon, the tide is way out,
The south end of Tybee becomes an alien landscape,
beautiful, but different.
At one point I thought of the Roman aqueducts.

The birds are wild,
free,
and hungry.
There are a few dead jellyfish around,
and some little hermit crabs.
The kids are fascinated.
Our kite is in the sky.
Everyone is busy,
doing their beach things.
too cold yet to swim,
but,
it won't be very long.

We think this is possibly
the first time
 Archie
has ever flown a kite.

*Living near the coast....
A huge blessing,
never get enough of it.
