Ever so often in a believers life we come to the point when we realise that we must take stock of the things that are going on in our heart.
Many times we wait too long to do this and we find ourselves overloaded with the things of the world and distracted from the things of God.
This should be the Christian's ambition:
IICor. 5:9&10 "Therefore also we have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him. For we must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ, that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad."
We must persevere in the faith my likeminded believers and friends.
It is always easier to go the way of the world. That is our natural inclination. It is a battle to seek to please God, but we can win the war. One cannot be in the God's word every day without being convicted.
We cannot change our own hearts but we can cry out to God for mercy in our sin and in his grace He will change it for us.
