she got roller skates

Remember all the fun we had with roller skates?

I spent hours rolling on the sidewalk in front of our house.

I wore the key on a ribbon around my neck.

Well Lucy got roller skates from Estelle and Irving and she was thrilled.

Turning four is a big event in a little girl's life.

She got to eat her steak and baked potato off of the good china.

She loved her purple and pink cake and was the center of attention for most of the evening.

She is growing up to be a fine mannered and funny young lady.

Thank you God for bringing Lucy into our lives.

She is a constant source of joy.

She is the crown of our old age.

She is a blessing from You.

May she come to know You, God, at an early age.

May she grow to be a woman whose greatest desire is to please You.

May her discipline now shape her character later.
