congratulations.....

to my daughter Amanda.

She ran in a 5K race last evening.
That is 3.2 miles if you didn't know.
It only took her 32.05 minutes.
She ran the whole way and beat all of her friends.

The only casualty was Jake.
He ran down a hill and
landed in a mud hole up to his knees.
He was pulled out by his dad,
but one of his favorite bright green crocs didn't make it.

That mud swallowed the shoe up.
Mark searched for it for quite a while but to no avail.

I have always been terrified of quick-sand.
Just the thought of this incident makes me cringe.

These are some of the last words penned
by the apostle Paul near the end of His life....
~
"I have fought the good fight,
I have finished the race,
I have kept the faith."
II Timothy 4:7
