we arrived safely

We arrived safely to the Hollingsworth home at about 3:30 pm after leaving Atlanta right on 8:00 this morning. It was a very uneventful trip. It seemed to pass very quickly as Bub and I had a lot to talk about. We found a new Bar-b-que restaurant in North Carolina. It tasted just like Aunt Dottie's pig-pickings used to taste.

The boys were excited to see us and we have had a good time visiting and now it is time for bed. We just ingested Amanda's home cooked derby pie. It was delightful.

Tomorrows expected high is 96 degrees so we won't venture far. The air conditioning here feels delightful and Bubba and I will be keeping Jake and Eli while Amanda and Mark go away for a couple of days.

I remember back to our days as young parents and how wonderful it was to leave it all behind if only for a few days. We wish them well. They want to sleep late and have an adult sit down meal together. That is why we are here...............and also to get to love up on the little ones a bit.

I can't send pictures because I am on our laptop. Will save them all up for when we get home.

As always......c
