a snapshot of pure joy

After the angel departed from Peter,
he went to the home of Mary,
the mother of John who was also called Mark.

Many were gathered at her house praying for him because of his imprisonment.

When Peter knocked on the door of the gate,
a servant girl named Rhoda came to answer.

When Rhoda recognized Peter's voice,
because of her joy she did not open the gate.
Instead,
she ran in and announced that Peter was standing at the gate.

The people said to her,
"You are out of your mind."
But she kept insisting that it was so.
And they kept saying,
"It is His angel."

In the meantime, Peter is still standing outside the gate knocking on the door.
When they finally opened the door and saw him,
They were amazed.

Peter motioned to them with his hand to be silent.
He described to them how the Lord had led him out of the prison.
Before he departed, he said,

"Report these things." acts 12: 12~17

That is what we as believers are supposed to do.
